Belarus-China cooperation reaches very high level, Vladimir Andreichenko says
The Belarusian-Chinese cooperation has reached a new, very high level, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko said at a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Belarus Lu Guicheng on January 22, BelTA informs.
“Our relations have always been trust-based and transparent. We consider cooperation with China as one of Belarus’ foreign policy priorities,” the Speaker said.
Vladimir Andreichenko expressed confidence that Lu Guicheng as new ambassador to Belarus will contribute to the expansion of the Belarusian-Chinese bilateral relations and development of the interparliamentary dialogue, in particular.
Vladimir Andreichenko noted the PRC’s contribution to the matter of strengthening the global stability and welcomed the readiness of the Chinese side to coordinate positions with Belarus on many international issues, especially in the United Nations. “We thank the Chinese parliamentarians for the assistance in resisting the attempts to exert political and economic pressure by some foreign forces on Belarus and other countries which have their own independent positions and want to live on their own,” Vladimir Andreichenko said. He reminded, Belarus continues supporting the policy towards the unification of Taiwan and PRC and condemns any attempts to hamper this movement.
Vladimir Andreichenko confirmed the invitation to the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Wu Bango, to visit Belarus. “I think we will have serious business talks which will help us to deepen our relations,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.
On his part, the Ambassador of China expressed the gratitude to the Belarusian people for understanding and support in addressing many urgent domestic and international issues.
