Mushroom factory to be built in Grodno region
The construction of a mushroom factory in the Grodno region will be launched in the near future, BelTA learnt from Valery Krivets, chief engineer of the capital construction board of the Grodno oblast executive committee.The factory will be built on the premises of the Koptevka agricultural company. The site for the future factory is being developed. The mushroom production complex will consist of a compost factory and a mushroom growing shed. The factory will use the Dutch mushroom cultivation technology. The total growth area will be 12,700 square meters.
According to the business plan, the maximum capacity of the future factory will be 10 tonnes of mushrooms per day. The factory is expected to sell 50% of the output domestically and export the other 50%.
The Grodno mushroom factory will be state-owned. Loans including from abroad will be attracted to implement the project. It is estimated at Br65 billion. The implementation term is one year. The payback period is seven years.
The Polish company Bioeco won a tender to construct the mushroom factory on a turnkey basis, deliver the equipment and train personnel. Grodnopromstroi will take part in the project under the subcontract agreement.
The factory is expected to employ 170 people.
