Belarus ready to set up seven new assembling enterprises in Kazakhstan
Belarus is ready to set up seven new assembling facilities in Kazakhstan, said First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko as he met with First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Umirzak Shukeyev on May 29.
“We are ready to set up seven new assembling facilities in Kazakhstan with a high level of localisation,” said Vladimir Semashko. In particular, Lidagroprommash can set up an enterprise to assemble grain harvesters of any capacity. Bobruiskagromash is interested in this kind of cooperation with Kazakhstan, too. Belarus can also assist with setting up an enterprise to assemble Atlant refrigerators. The enterprise may start working in one or two years.
Vladimir Semashko added, Belarus will be able to supply elevators, household appliances, food (dairy products, tinned food, beef, and sugar) to Kazakhstan. “We are also ready to build a dairy factory and provide it with raw materials if necessary,” said the official. He added there are two enterprises assembling MTZ tractors in Kazakhstan already.
First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Umirzak Shukeyev remarked that Kazakhstan is interested in assembling around 250,000 Atlant refrigerators per annum and is ready to discuss possible cooperation variants. Kazakhstan is also interested in Belarusian agricultural machines and household appliances.
