Gomel to host Economic Forum 2009

The Economic Forum 2009 will take place in Gomel on May 21. Its organizers are planning to present over 60 investment projects, BelTA learnt from the economy committee of the Gomel oblast executive committee.

According to the specialists, all the regions of the oblast and different companies will display their investment proposals for implementation in various areas of the national economy. Among them are the plans to set up a transport-logistics centre at the former military post Zyabrovka in the Gomel region, the construction of a plant for mineral water production in the Rogachev region, the production of construction foam and rolled roofing materials in the Gomel-Raton free economic zone, others.

Apart from the projects to modernize the acting manufactures and construct new economic facilities, the participants of the forum — potential partners — will be offered vacant land and real estate.
