Belarus, Vietnam to intensify economic cooperation during global crisis
MINSK, March 16 (BelTA) — Belarus and Vietnam should intensify the economic cooperation in order to overcome the consequences of the global financial crisis, Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam Phung Quoc Hien said as he met with Chairman of the Permanent Commission for International Affairs and Links with the CIS of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Sergei Maskevich in Minsk on March 16, BelTA informs.
“Intensification of the economic relations will help the economies of the two countries to survive a difficult period of the crisis,” Phung Quoc Hien said.
The foreign representative stressed that Vietnam praises the scientific and technical potential of Belarus. Vietnam is ready to provide Belarus with various products, seafood in particular. The Head of the Vietnamese delegation emphasized that the two countries still have a big untapped potential.
According to Sergei Maskevich, Belarus and Vietnam are working hard in overcoming the consequences of the global crisis.
